Zone 7 Awards Ceremony was held on the 10^th of January.  This year, it was an awards breakfast held at Scott’s in Walnut Creek . We are all very proud of Harvey and congratulate him on this Porsche accomplishment. Picture 1 shows Harvey accepting his award with President of Shasta Region, Bob Dunlap smiling on. The Christmas Party was at Dry Creek Station in Bella Vista on Thursday, December 11th at 6:00 pm. A lot of Christmas cheer was shared by Shasta Region members: great company, great food, and even a fun holiday game with Christmas gifts for all. Many thanks to Russ and Ruth for another great job! Thanks also to all those who donated creative gifts for our Christmas party game.

This was a great time to start the holiday season and enjoy the fellowship of other Porsche enthusiasts. We are all looking forward to our 2009 Shasta Region Porsche Club events.

The Foster Children’s Christmas Carnival was held on the 13^th of December at the Redding Veteran’s Hall on Yuba Street.  It started at 10:00 a.m. and ran until about 1:00 p.m.   It is Shasta Region’s annual charity function.  We man a booth (Porsche Pool) which provides gifts to children while they have a little fun.  There is a “car” theme to our booth, but the real theme is having fun with these kids.  This was our 5^th year of involvement with this organization.  Porsche Club volunteers are encouraged to participate.
