V.     FYI Announcements

A.      V.P. Duane announced that prices of 356’s continue to skyrocket.  A super Speedster will sale for from $205K to $257K.  Roadsters haven’t faired as well, but all 356’s continue to increase in value.

B.      Colin Coffee said he plans to pick up the “Green Machine” from Duane and start preparing his off-road racing 912.

C.      Dave Fertado relayed the story of his ill-fated trip from Shingletown to Redding.  Seems he found some loose gravel on the corner of an otherwise clear, dry road and instantly initiated the difficult 180 degree spin.  He continued his brief but swift journey via his rear-view mirrors across the on-coming lane, and through a barbed-wire fence on the other side of the road.    As far as Dave goes, a quick load of laundry was run and he was ok.  The Boxter is currently in the shop.

D.      Will Thompson reported that he had a dead battery on their 964.  He connected a battery charger and thinks he’ll be ready for Sunday’s tour.

E.      The raffle prize was won by Will and Kathy Thompson.  The prize, a Battery Tender, was donated by Shasta Battery.  (How appropriate!)

The meeting was adjourned at 7:45 P.M.
