Minutes of April 9th
,2009 Meeting
President Bob Dunlap called the meeting to order at Marie Callender’s Restaurant at 7:07 P.M. There were 17 members present. Meeting started with the announcement regarding Jerry Nystrom’s health status after his surgery on April 1st. Our prayers and thoughts are with him for a speedy recovery.

Treasurer’s
Report
A. Treasurer Pam Dunlap reported
1. The balance amount currently on hand is $3112.12
2. $11 from our Fine bank was deposited into the account
3. Received the Region Subsidy of $165.
4. Paid : $50 for March tour poker run to winner Greg Brown.
5. All payments for the gloves have been reimbursed.
II. Website Manager Report
A. Webmaster Sharon Nani reported
1. Expression of thanks to contributors of their Porsche photos for the navigation bar Ralph and Victoria Dacy of their 08 Artic Silver Boxster. We need 2 more submissions to make the total of 4 Porsches for the scenic animation
2. New Featured Member drawing was done at meeting. Bob Strickler will be the next featured member. We will interview our last member: Jack Haling, when a time is convenient for him.
3. The last 30 days of web site views showed 163 visits and 753 page views. After entering the Index portal page, the most viewed pages were: photo gallery, tours, and classified ads, even some of the photo gallery achieve pages were viewed.
4. The Referring Sites report showed 21% came directly to the site, 42% came from pca.org, 23% from Google, rest from other search engines.

III. Committee Reports
A. Membership – Phred Degner reported:

B.
1. We decided at our March meeting that we would not tour on Easter Sunday, and would rather go the following Sunday, the 19th of April. It is our “wildflowers” tour, and with the recent rain, we may even have some wild flowers to view. I’ll send out more specific information regarding the tour and our lunch plans as we get closer to that date
2. We discussed the remaining of our tour season,
which includes a couple of overnighter tours, one in July to southern
.
IV. Old Business –
A.
Red
Bluff site for autocross has been ruled out.
Contact has been made with Holly Graham, president of Trinity Touring
Club to partner with them with having them sponsor an autocross for Shasta
Region as a possible option.
B.
Bob reported that the tour observer reports
could not be signed by the President
V. New Business
A.
Duane reported The Porsche racing season is well
underway. Porsche is doing well
at both Rolex and ALMS. The next events will be the American LeMans
Series (ALMS) race at
B.
Beth brought up for discussion that a tour to
see the Lavender Farm would be nice
End of the meeting raffle was won by David and Sharon Nani a memorabilia napkin drawing of the Porsche Crest and a 911 book.
