A big “thank you” goes to Jerry and Elly Nystrom for their participation in the Shasta Region booth at the annual Foster Children’s Christmas Carnival.  Jerry and Elly had just about as much fun as the kids did and helped Pam and I bring a little extra joy to this worthwhile organization for our third straight year.

Minutes: of November 9, 2006 Meeting

I opened meeting at 7:20, there were 14 members present.  We welcomed visiting member, Paul Abbott from Golden Gate Region.  Patches and pins from Larry Waugh’s collection were displayed and offered for the taking to members present.  Another announcement was made regarding some of the items Doreen Waugh has for sale.

II. Treasurer’s Report

Pam says we have $3,016.87. 

 

III Committee Reports

A.  Website:  Webmeister Rob reported all is well with website.  New meeting dates were identified.  

B.  Tours:  Jerry discussed tentative plans for tours for 2007.  The group briefly discussed a “Photo-Tour” and Ed Barnett suggested a winery tour in the Oroville area.   We collectively decided that we would not attempt a November tour.

 

IV Old Business

A.  Foster Children’s Christmas party is scheduled for 9 December.  Set up will be the day before.  Volunteers welcomed.   We have applied for the PCA Charity Subsidy.
