Editorial:  Tours

The first overnighter of  the year was a huge success. A big thanks to Dale and Gail Gleichweit for all their effort coordinating the weekend. Their effort over the past year was over the top. (yes it took a year of negotiations to get it to happen) The weekend was a definite sensory overload for the Porsche enthusiast.

The next event is Joe Wong’s hangar tour. Last time the tour was our biggest ever. A nice drive and the hospitality of  Joe makes this one the one not to miss. Lots of cars and a relaxing social atmosphere. If you are coming please contact Bob so Joe can plan the lunch.

The effort put into these events by Jerry, Bob and special members like the Gleichweits’ is commendable. They all take planning and lots of extra time to get it right. We need to make sure their efforts don’t go without reward, and the best reward is a good turnout. So if you have a little extra time join us and you’ll see what fun it is.

We  (Sue and I) go to many events (more than 20 a year) put on by all levels from city sponsored car shows to national level races and concourse’. We have the best times with our local club and feel like we fit in the easiest.

If you get a chance try one of  the goings-on that we announce in this newsletter, you may be surprised at how much other groups appreciate your taking time to visit them.

Get out and have some fun with your Porsche.
