Aren’t Adjectives Wonderful!
Fellow Porsche Enthusiasts,
Here’s how things shaped up for our April tour. Notice the asterisks in parentheses. The asterisks represent adjectives which can be found at the end of the article. You may substitute any adjective for any asterisk and it probably won’t change the real meaning.
As much as the March tour saw only red Porsches, the April tour catered to a wide variety of colors, models, and members. A white 66 912 with Greg Brown (*) at the wheel, and a red 99 911 C4 (*) operated by Brian and Liz Gibbs were first on the scene. They were soon followed by a marine blue 87 928 S4 (*) piloted by Pam and Bob Dunlap; a red 06 Cayman (*) steered by Bob Cochran and Janet Gallino; a silver 05 GT2 (*) controlled by Joe Wong and Holly Hoekstra; a yellow 98 Boxter (*) in the hands of Harvey and Sue Weidman, a nougat gold 87 928 S4 (*) driven by Phred and Susan Degner, a silver 71 911 (*) maneuvered by Joe and Pa Sombath, and a red 64 356 (*) navigated by Jerry and Elly Nystrom. For our poker run, we played “guess the mileage at the end of our trip.” Jerry (*) laid down the rules: “I’ll set my odometer to “0” to start the tour. Guess what the mileage on my odometer will be when we complete the tour (Shingletown, Manton, Logan’s Roadhouse).” Our first (*) stop found us in the quaint burb of Shingletown. Luckily for Joe and Holly, the Chevron station was open. It’s amazing how 640 horsepower goes through the gas! What was that, about 2 gallons per mile! Jerry (*) allowed the participants to |
