We started off the tour season with a small group of diehards braving the elements. Five cars and seven participants were given a warm sendoff by local PCA members Gary and Greg who came out to see who was 'brave' enough to come out to the first event of the year. The reward was 160 miles of no traffic and beautiful scenery through three counties. The morning started off on the wet side, but mother nature held off and dazzled us with intermittent sprinklings that were just enough to keep the windshields clean. The Cayenne and Macan took the lead making sure the road was safe for their lower slung brethren. The midengined Boxster, Cayman, and GT4 made easy work of the wet roads. The group made their first stop at the Colusa Casino Mini Mart before heading west through Stonyford for awesome photo stop at the Stony Gorge Powerhouse, followed by a stop at Thunderhill for a quick presidential meet and greet with their new manager. The group ended up at Logan's in Chico for a well earned lunch. As if to say she approved, the rain drops returned as we headed our separate ways.
