JANUARY 2024 PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
As I start my third term (5th year) as President of the Shasta Region PCA, I can say it’s been one heck of a ride so far. I’ve enjoyed meeting new friends and cruising on some awesome back roads. I really got a kick out of hosting our Christmas party at the end of the year.
As we press the pedal into 2024, our Board of Directors and Committee Chairs will be implementing plans for the new year. To begin with, please welcome our new club Secretary, Jennifer Ploog and our new club Treasurer, Dave Erskine. I know they are both enthusiastic about their new posts.
Our club is recognized throughout Zone 7 for our beautiful driving tours. Check out our monthly tour schedule posted on our website calendar, sha.pca.org, by our stellar Tourmeister Dave Nichols. E-mail blasts will be sent to each member just prior to the tour as well.
I encourage everyone to participate in our club events, there are many ways to show your face. There are monthly tours, a weekly breakfast, cars & coffee events in Redding and Chico, monthly social dinners, our charity event in Red Bluff and look for track days.
The club is currently looking for a fresh volunteer to be our Social Media Committee Chair to monitor our Facebook and Instagram accounts. Put some fun in your life and contact me for more information.

SHASTA REGION PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
3rd Quarter Update
Hello everyone,
The 2023 Shasta Region Zone 7 Tour was held on June 8-12 and was a grand success!!! Check this site under "Club Tours and Events".
The Zone 7 Tour Committee has been authorized to start planning for the 2024 Shasta Region Zone 7 Tour. The dates are set for June 20-24, 2024 and Registration will be February 1st. A Tour Budget will be presented to the board at our next board meeting in October.
Congratulations to Dr. Allen Krohn, who was presented the “Lifetime Achievement Award” at the Zone 7 annual dinner by Zone President Brian Adkins.
Dr. Krohn was also awarded the Lazar and Harry Blanchard Award for PCA National “Enthusiast of the Year” presented at "PORSCHE PARADE" in Palm Springs . Mark Porsche accepted the award on Allen’s behalf.
July’s social dinner was held at Carlito’s Restaurant in Red Bluff and was a real hit.

Hello Zone 7
Anyone else been out and about? I sure hope so.
July, I visited multiple Regions and various events and as writing this, getting ready for the Zone 7 Mt. Hamilton Rally.
The Sierra Nevada Region held a Meet and Greet in Gardnerville. A tech quiz that had me digging deep into my grey matter. Beautiful location at the Carson Valley Country Club. The following day their Zone 7 Series Concours was held in Genoa Nevada was super fun. Yes, I was judged in a new to me (3 weeks) Boxster that I had been focusing on mechanical and service items, never actually doing deep detailed until the morning of the event. The judges had plenty to see. I do enjoy being a part of the events and now know what to clean.
Loma Prieta Region held their New Member picnic at Roaring Camp Railroad. BBQ, Bingo and even s’mores. Fun time had by all. So great to meet long time and new members.
Zone 7 series Concours this time with the Monterey Region’s Concours in Paradise … ad it surely was. Beating the heat at home this time WAS indeed paradise. And whit an actual detail on the newer to me Boxster, A first place trophy (a really cool piston / plaque trophy) was mine.
I do enjoy Social Media … that said some amount of caution is prudent when using it. On the Zone 7 Website I wrote a post that gives some insight on how to safely navigate this resource. Included are “Official” verified links to National, Zone 7 and all Zone 7 Region Websites and social media. Please be sure to use these when looking for information and connecting on social media.
Werks Reunion is just around the corner (links below) see you there!
Rennsport Reunion 7 is also fast approaching. This will be EPIC for sure. Rennsport Reunion 7, IN Zone 7, in 2023 that is a SEVEN year in numerology …. I am buying a lotto ticket or 7. Below are links to Laguna Seca for tickets. Porsche corrals are SOLD OUT. If you swap / buy or “find” a corral pass it needs to be for the MODEL Porsche car that you will have there.
A link to parade laps also below … you need to already have a Corral pass to purchase Parade laps. Each day will have morning parade laps; purchase for the day you want to participate.
